The Ruins of Bushwick: Brooklyn in the Early 80’s

If you’ve been to the coffee-and-beer-drenched Bushwick section of Brooklyn lately, you’re in for a shock. The barbed wire is still edging its way along the side streets and the warehouses, although most of them have been converted into pricey loft-style housing. Barbed wire, wrought-iron fences, and a few dilapidated corners are about the only relics left from this poor, violent, but truthful era.
